It is a beautiful 12 mile coastal ride to the Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve.The parking is free and always available for mopeds and bicycles. There is a minimal $5 entry and you must watch a short educational video on the bay before entering. Snorkel gear is available on the beach for $10. You can bring your own gear if you like. Depending on the time of year you can expect long lines to get in. Hanauma Bay is closed every tuesday. Once you are done snorkeling keep exploring the east side all the way into Kailua. You won’t regret it.
