Moped Safety and Awareness

To ensure an enjoyable experience with our moped tours here are our Moped Safety Awareness tips and guidelines.

To begin we would like to remind you that these mopeds are machines and they must be taken seriously.  Please consider that when you take a seat on our mopeds you are taking control and responsibility of the vehicle.

We will provide refllective vests and helmets for all tour members.  It is required that all participants wear these at all times during the tour.  An average speed of  30 miles per hour will be maintained during of the tour.  We ask that you always keep a safe distance between yourself and other drivers.  Be aware of gravel and sand. This is Hawaii the environment and the roads are different from what you may be used to.  We will drive slow in areas with gravel, sand, loose pavement, pot holes, and or water.  Eye protection is required by law.  Closed toed shoes are recomended simply because your feet are your balance on a moped. We will drive in the right lane of traffic as a common courtesy to the other vehicles on the road.  If the traffic gets too fast we will pull off to road and allow it to pass us. Our tour guides are experienced and will not lose sight of the group.   Please keep stopping to a minimum unless it is an emergency or a scheduled stop on the tour.  Also let’s always remember to have fun mopeds are a great way to experience Hawaii.
